As we move towards full-time production of our next video, Tivas and I have been looking at ways to help support our movie making endeavors financially. I'd like to elaborate on a few ideas and get the support of the community on what you would like to see.
Guild & Individual sponsorships [list] We want to continue releasing our movies for free, using merchandise and sponsorships as a financial means to effectively pay for the time it takes to create them. Rather than just ask for donations we want to offer something in return to every person that chooses to get involved. We love all our fans, and I can't thank you guys enough for the tremendous amount of support you've given us so far. Whether it be here, warcraftmovies, youtube, warcraftcinema, google video, or the thousands of websites worldwide that have linked to and discussed our movies. I'll be announcing more after we release the trailer for our next movie, Tivas and I believe it's going to circulate quickly and help build the buzz for the full release this fall. See you there! |

So, would a myspace suffice as a personal website? Or possibly a guild website? My myspace is quite simple to find, its myspace.com/sterence, no my name is not sterence =-), its an homage to Homestarrunner =-) oh and the guild website is clguild.net

This thread has already sparked some interest from the community and I had an idea. Currently we are going to open 12 Guild & Individual sponsorships during the ending credits of our next movie. Each sponsor will be entitled to a 4 sec. image of their choice being displayed at the location they purchase (subject to other rules), for example, position 1 would be the very first sponsor image shown in the movie, position 12 would be the last.
I really can't put a price on this kind of thing, nor do I want to. I'd rather have the community determine the value of each sponsorship - which is why I'm considering using Ebay to list each sponsorship position and let you guys decide how much it's worth to you. So the idea is: I would hold a new auction every week during the production of the movie until all the sponsorship positions are full. Also, there would be mini-contests and giveaways to help keep the community active and let each person have the opportunity to contribute differently, by earning a sponsorship or through a random giveaway. |
