Shiro giggled, imagining herself trying to judge combat.

"Haha, I only mean to keep any sort of tournament in something I can actually make a fair judgement on" she replied, taking a sip of her tea.

"I'm surprised you would think it not to be a challenge, however.  A hundred references is a chore, let alone a thousand!  Then to put it all into reasonable sentences?   Should I set 9001 as the mark?  It doesn't seem random enough", she added, laughing quietly.

"fine then" he said, trying to hide a grunt "i will consider it. in the mean time what else were we discussing? we still have a good hour left before nightfall."

Seeing that Galaniel was not all-together pleased with this arrangement, Shiro added, "If you are really so eager to do combat, I have an old insult robot named Bill that I have really grown tired of.  If you want to fight anything, this would probably do everyone a favor."

As she finished speaking, "Bill" rolled into the room on his tank wheel "feet".  "Good evening, everyone!  My sensors indicate that the alcohol level in this room has gone from 'moderate' to 'moronic'!"  He followed this with mechanical laughter.

"See what I mean?"  Shiro added, rolling her eyes.  "The worst part is, he doesn't have an off button or switch, he is solar powered, and he has been fortunate enough to withstand several blows to the head with the legendary Spam Hammer".

He sighed, and lifted his gauntlet, holding it close to his shoulder. His gauntlet began to glow, and in a second, a plasma cannon apperared in his hand. Firing, the robot had a large hole where the upper half of the body used to be. It fell beepless to the ground. The plasma cannon disappeared.

"That counts as a side quest, where's my reward?" He said, recounting the numerous times he had level-grinded on robots in Xenosaga.

Shiro clapped her hands, grateful to be rid of the annoying robot.  "Thanks for doing that!  You may choose from 3 rewards:  a [Mutated Squirrel Mount], a [Spam Pie EZ Bake Oven], or my [Dented Spam Hammer].

"Whichever would make the better bomb." He said, uncaring. "I already have all the equipment I need. Just running low on food." Then he shrugged slightly and sat back down. "We do still have issues to discuss".

"I told you I wasn't that proficient at judging combat", Shiro retorted, becoming annoyed.  "And the EZ bake oven will conjure a spam pie every 3 minutes if all you want is food."

Shiro turned to sit on her "throne", which was a huge bean bag.  "Maybe you'll have more luck challenging someone here to a duel, if that is to your liking.  As for me, I find useless combat annoying."

"... i meant the rebuilding of the towns and resettling of the territories" he said, trying to avoid angering her further.

The new guy didn't know how far this shiro could go until annoyed. And there's always the most obvious way to find out. "Shiro!" he said, raising his bow toward her "I challenge you to a duel!"

"Squire, control thyself!" he shouted "We need to talk about other issues so that way we can actually begin a quest, while of course we work on our essays, so that after the quest we can finally declare a king assuming Doomtrucker doesnt return. dont you people know anything about plotlines?" then suddenly there was a giant hole in th wall across from the door.

"Great." He said "can we get a carpenter, i think i broke the fourth wall?"
