Description:
Well, lately I have been trying to get into the voice acting business, a bit, and I have been experimenting a lot with my voice, microphone and Adobe Audition. Wanted to try and add something here just to get feedback and tips on how to improve. So, I tried to do the Lich King, but without making it sound like in World of WarCraft. It's kind of like how I wanted Arthas to have sounded, in this expansion, and by that I mean like in WC 3 where his human voice is more dominant, if you understand what I mean.
Just to warn you, I used the lines from the first introduction trailer to Wrath of the lich King, so the whole clip is 1 minute, approximately. I just added effects and leveled the sound as good as I could. There are also some weird sounds that pops up because of how I pronounced the words, but I just ignored it to be able to get the clip done (I also don't know how to fix it.).
P.S. If someone has any experience with Audition or sound, in general, I would appreciate that someone would be able to tell me how to make words not sound forced like in some cases, here. I have been trying my best, but I am a total noob at this. ^^

Hehe, that was a surprising statement, for me. XD
Always thought my voice was pretty light for an old man, but I guess it's mostly the effects fault. =P

Hehe, for me it's not the pitch of the voice. It's the way you're pronouncing the words, they sound like you're an old man :P
Really good btw!

Well, I wanted him to sound pretty menacing, but it seem that it backfired if people think it sounds like that. XD
Also, thank you! ^_^

The pitch and all if fine, its the pronnoucing of words. Sounds like you're trying too hard to sound like Arthas.

Okay, so do you have any tips on how to improve on that part, then? =) Like mouth excerises or such, since my voice has a tendency to do forced tones depending on certain circumstances in the vocal cord.

I know some streching excercises that a friend showed them to me (hes playing in theaters), though I think they're more excercises for Slovenes...
Some time ago I also asked my English teacher if she could give any tips in improving my accent (or to hide my South European one) when talking in English. She said the only real thing that works is to impersonate or "copy" the way people talk in movies or audio files. In time you'll remember how to move your lips at certain words when you talk the heard text and it will be easily able to use the learned speak patterns in casual use.

Eh, all excercises are helpful to me, at this moment, so it does not matter much that they might be working better for Slovenes. =P
Hm, interesting. There is some truth to that, since a lot of my attempts to imitate other actors have helped my English speech, tremendously. Well, then I'd better keep doing it. ^^

quite good but if i may give you a tip, try to find a new voice inside yourself, one dark but still human. Do the orginal thing to warm up, sing from dark to light and then back after start to talk normal and then try to go dark in yourself so to speak, and you will get a new voice.
